Meet your Doula
Blessings, my love! My name is Desiree’ Amboree and I am a doula, energetic healer, and scholar activist committed to liberatory practices. I am an unapologetically Black woman and as such, my work centers Black women and Black people (though my services are lovingly offered to all). I found my way to this work through a long road of self-discovery and connecting with God. I am a double certified birth and postpartum doula and a WCPS certified placenta encapsulationist. I am a SMC Full Circle Provisional Doula, trained by Shafia Monroe of Shafia Monroe Consulting and a Doula of Discernment, trained by Deshaun Desrosiers of Harmonious Birthing. My birth work is offered in the tradition of the 18th and 19th century midwife. In this way, we prioritize physiological labor and trust the body to do its job. My work is ancestral, my work is divine.
UJIMA
UJIMA is one of the seven principles of Kwanzaa. It means collective work and responsibility to building and maintaining our community together, to making our communities' problems our problems and working together to solve them.
DA3H is committed to disrupting infant and maternal mortality rates. We seek to see the healing of our community above all else. We recognize this is a community effort. Likewise, we wholeheartedly believe that doula support is a necessity and not a luxury. As such, we do not want cost to prevent anyone from receiving services. We are open to bartering, bargains, and payment plans.

Placenta encapsulation is the consumption of the placenta in pill form. This is a traditional method of retaining the nutrients in the placenta that are lost after childbirth. Benefits of Placenta Encapsulation include:

Reiki Energy is the universal energy that surrounds us all. I am a trained and certified Usui Reiki practitioner. During a reiki session I will act as a channel for the universal healing energy to your areas of need. This service can be added a la cart to any doula offerings.
